Bone Densitometry: GE Lunar Prodigy

Lunar Prodigy's improved technology detects subtle bone changes in a variety of clinical applications and provides Advanced Hip Assessments and Dual Energy Vertebral Assessments. Utilizing Direct-digital detector technology, Prodigy delivers rapid scans, near radiographic imaging and dose efficiency three to five times better than existing fan beam systems. And its comprehensive capabilities cover a complete range of applications.

X-Ray: GE Silhouette/Minolta Regius (Digital)

The GE Sihouette performs the basic radiographic x-ray examinations. The image quality is excellent, patient positioning is easy, it has high-frequency generation, and minimum system maintenence.

The Minolta Regius performs similarly to conventional x-rays, but uses a special imaging detector that "reads" the body part rather than exposing it on film. Digital x-rays allow for faster results and delivery to other doctors, as the images can be viewed on a computer rather than having to send the actual film. This technique also exposes patients to less radiation, a minor risk involved in conventional x-rays.

CT: Toshiba Aquilion 64 slice

A multi-slice scanner can acquire thinner slices for better image quality while keeping throughput at an optimal level. The speed of the system and fast acquisition time allow many studies to be performed in a single breath-hold, reducing motion artifact and optimizing profitability. One of the major benefits of multi-slice scanners is the ability to reconstruct multiple slice thicknesses from one data acquisition.

Mammography: GE Senographe DMR

Image Quality is Everything, for mammographers, nothing is more important than the diagnostic confidence that results from superb image quality. And no system outperforms the Senographe DMR+, with its new-dedicated mammography MaxiRay x-ray tube, and new SharpIQ grid for cleaner images.

Ultrasound: GE Logiq 5

GE Logiq 5 system provides a full range of clinical applications including abdominal, small parts, and vascular. An ultrasound system so versatile and reliable that it can meet the demands of virtually any clinical setting.
