BREAST IMAGING CENTER OF EXCELLENCE

We are proud to announce that Central Park Women’s Imaging Center  has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Only six facilities in New York City have received the honorary Breast Imaging Center of Excellence designation. By awarding facilities the status of Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, the ACR recognizes the breast imaging services at this center are fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. Peer-review evaluations, conducted in each breast imaging modality by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field, have determined that this facility has achieved high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs. West Side Radiology, Woman’s Breast Imaging Center was opened in 2005 to answer the demand for quality woman’s imaging services. Dedicated radiologists using the latest diagnostic techniques offer compassionate medicine with the highest of practice standards.
